Tony Alamo Sentenced to 175 Years

Tony Alamo is sentenced to 175 years in prison.

Tony Alamo has been sentenced to 175 years in prison after being found guilty of 10 counts of taking underage girls across state lines for sex. He received the maximum sentence in the case where 3 of his child "brides" testified against him. Sources say Alamo's attorney is planning to appeal the ruling.

Alamo allegedly took these "child" brides as early as age 8. One girl testified against him, saying (via ArkansasOnline.com): “You have the audacity to ask for mercy. What mercy did you show us?”

This isn't the first time Alamo has been in trouble with the law. He has been busted for tax evasion multiple times, and served time for federal tax evasion in his business which sold celebrities sequined denim jackets.

He is also the founder of the Tony Alamo Christian Ministries in Arkansas, which has been referred to as a cult.
