Tax day freebies

Tax day freebies
According to Roanoke.com some local restaurants are offering tax day free food. "MaggieMoo's Ice Cream & Treatery: Win a free single scoop serving of ice cream today, which the chain calls its "e-cone-omic ice cream stimulus package."

Chick-fil-A is asking customers to save their receipts. They'll be good for the same order for free until April 30. Participating locations will give you a coupon for a free meal when you buy a regular meal today.

"T.G.I. Friday's: Diners today will receive $5 Bonus Bites gift cards to be used for beverage and food purchases, excluding alcohol, valued at $15 to $25. Those who spend more than $25 will receive $10 gift cards. Members of the restaurant chain's frequent customer program also will get double points this month."

Seattlest.com in its yesterday's issue writes about today's tax day freebies and discount deals pointing to Taco Del Mar that will be offering up a free taco to anyone who goes to their website and fills out the form to get a coupon via email.

Seattlepi.com lists the following tax day freebies and discount deals.

15 percent off kidd Valley order
15 percent off Boom Noodle / Blue C Sushi bill
Free Cinnabon Bites
McCormick and Schmick's meal certificate
15 percent off P.F. Chang's bill
T.G.I. Friday's discount cards

Tax day freebies and discount deals pursue two purposes. I noticed that some freebies are only for those people who show proof that they have filed their tax returns. This tells me that the companies are raising awareness about taxation and income tax returns. On the other hand companies and business are using the theme of the TAX DAY and promote their businesses by offering freebies, 15 percent discount deals and free food.
